Who this course is for

Non-clinical staff, support workers, care assistants, community groups, gym staff, and anyone based at a venue with a public access defibrillator who wants real confidence responding to a cardiac arrest. It also works well as a focused annual refresher for anyone who already holds a broader first aid certificate.

Best for: gyms, leisure venues, community groups, and any workplace that already has a defibrillator on site and wants staff confident using it.

What's covered

  • Adult CPR
  • The recovery position
  • Safe AED use
  • Choking
  • Calling for help and handing over to emergency services

Format

A focused, practical session of around 3 hours, delivered at your premises or venue. Small groups as standard, so everyone gets real hands-on time on the manikins and the defibrillator trainer.

Need a broader workplace certificate?

If you need a designated workplace first aider under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) gives you a wider skill set and an accredited certificate. BLS & AED is a great annual top-up alongside that, or standalone training for non-workplace settings.
